LEAH'S DIAMOND |
As the firelight dances in your eyes, and our joy expessed in sighs,
Once again to praise you I poorly try.......
Through the night we walked by ocean noir', the moonlit breaker's quiet roar a gentle harmony to your liquid speech,
The words sparkling like diamonds which I eager search for here upon the sand,
Like prospector on the fabled Skeleton Coast,
Like him I set my life upon that single course, hunting gems of exquiste wonder,
And hoard them in my heart like pirate's plunder!
And why?
For to me your sayings are brought from love's core, you make my heart ache, but set it to languid soar.
And though I lock your gifts to me in my soul like strongest vault,
Yet the heavy gates to you fly open with giving grace, for 'tis your heart mine longs to eternal embrace....
