CORAL AND SURF

On heat kissed sands we laze, the warm waters dazzling with sunny haze,

Tropical birds wheel and turn, all alone but for them, our love doth burn,

And though our gentle noises, sighs, make the place come alive,

It is ourselves that fill and encompass all around, for that is all we see.

But we laugh and glide into the sea, swimming over ancient coral,

Then we dive and swim, along sea bottom, where the fishes writhe,

In great numbers like a silver sky, flashing by, between us and sky,

Up to the surface rising, and in that ocean surf we catch each other's eye.

And each maginfied second growing, and then we're rowing,

Together lips arms enfolding, sinking into the azure sea water,

Drinking passion from our undrainable hearts unto each other...
