Jodi
joined the CIA in 1993, a Brazilian national, she was
selected for undercover operations in 1998. The mission
went wrong, Jodi had her cover blown and the drug runners
took her into the jungle for execution. She escaped but
was seriously wounded--her arms were practically severed
by a shotgun blast. The extraction team located her four
days later--she had crawled 12 miles, despite her
horrific injuries. Her carrer as an agent at an end, Jodi was
recruited into Nemesis on the 15th of February 1999.
Highly advanced reconstructive techniques rebuilt her
arms, but also imbedded in them a special series of
devices.
Using
nanomachines, created by the mechanisms in her arms, Jodi
can, by touch, transform most materials into explosive
compounds such as RDX or TNT, depending on the elements
contained in the subject touched. It takes around 30
seconds to perform this operation. In addition to making
explosives, a simple electronic detonator is also
constructed, which she can trigger at any later time. The
power of the explosive devices (based on the mass of
material operated on), and the number of times per 24
hour cycle that it can be employed will increase with
skill, as it does take some mental effort to direct. At
present, the explosive power she can utilize is around
that of a grenade, generally three times per day before
the nanites and herself are depleted. New nanites are
made simply from natural consumption of food.
