 A
commander of one of the city's elite SWAT teams, Blade is
a highly regarded and decorated officer. Known for superb
planning and accuracy with a rifle (he won a Silver Medal
in the Olympics), he also has close links with the
Homicide and narcotics divisions, as he worked with them
for a time as an undercover operative--they needed an
"unknown" face.His family are Scottish immigrants, having
lived in the "rough" areas of the city, he
decided to do something about the rampant violence and
crime. Winning a scholarship he took a psychology degree
and joined the police force, where his superb
marskmanship and calm nerves lead him to the SWAT team.
Due to
his love of Oriental martial arts, and swords in
particular, he earned the nickname "Blade". In
one of the situations he dealt with for the narcotics
squad, when the deal went sour, he had no firearms and
had to resort to using one of the criminal's weapons: a
flick knife. Blade took out 2 armed men with just a knife.
